Stage 1-Inventory
After the final concepts Michael started to work on the inventory for the game, he thought of the idea of using the line designs for inventory which was inspired by the Great Gatsby. He originally designed two that sliver and gold one, Alex and Michael liked the silver one but it looked too flat so Michael used the embossed feature in Photoshop which made it pop out more. Once we were happy with this he made a concept to show how the item you get go in the diamond shape sections.
Stage 2-Pick Ups
Once the Inventory was done Michael moved on to work on the icons that represent the pick ups, for these he needed to design four codes on a piece of paper and a key. For these he used the same technique as the inventory so they would look similar and work well off each other.
Stage 3-Cursors
Then Michael started to work on the cursors for the game so that we had our own custom mouse icon which would change to a hand when it hovered over an asset which the player could interact with. Like the cursors he used the same the same technique as the inventory.
Stage 4-Pause Menu
For the pause menu Michael simply designed it based on the style of inventory which would show off the Art Deco style. he used the same technique to emboss it like the inventory.
Stage 5-Timer
Finally for the timer Michael made a simple design using the same technique to emboss the design like the inventory.
Stage 5-Final GUIs
